General Enquiries
What type of glasses do I need?
Your Optician will normally tell what type of corrective eyeglasses you need during your eye exam but generally speaking:
If you have problems seeing distant objects you should select Distance – Single Vision. Your prescription should have “−” values, eg -2.50
If you have difficulties reading small print you should select Reading – Single Vision. Your prescription should have “+” values, eg +1.50
If you have problems with Distance and close-up, then select Progressive or Bifocal as advised by your Optician. Your prescription should have both “−” and “+” values, eg -1.00 and +2.00
Can I order just the frame?
Yes you can. On the product page, when you have chosen your frame, you can simply "Order Frame Only".
This option will only include the frame only without prescription lenses.
What do I need to be able to order prescription glasses?
All you need is a valid prescription and a payment method - credit/debit card, paypal, etc. See the Payment section in the FAQ for more details.
Can I use my Contact Lens prescription to order glasses?
No. Contacts Lens prescriptions are entirely different from prescriptions for glasses.
Currently we do not sell contact lenses.

Prescription Questions
How do I send my prescription?
At the end of the order process we will send you the following link to Send us your Prescription where we will lead you through the process of sending us your prescription.
What is PD?
The Pupillary Distance (PD) is the distance (measured in mm) between the pupils of your eyes (the centres of your eyes). It is sometimes also known as the Distance PD.
An accurate (PD) measurement is required in order to make prescription glasses and is an essential part of your prescription.
For adults, the PD never changes and is, on average, 63mm for men and 60 mm for women. Most adult PD's are in the the range 55-65.
The PD may also be shown as two numbers (Dual PD) such as 31.5/32 where 31.5 is the Right PD and 32 is the Left PD – where, for example the Right PD is the distance between the centre of the pupil in the Right eye. and the centre of the bridge of the nose.
If your PD isn't present on your prescription then you can measure it yourself, although we recommend that we contact your optician and ask them for the PD that they measured when you had your eye exam.
Do I need to know my PD to order online?
Yes you do. In order to make your glasses as accurate as possible we need to be able to align the centre of each lens with the centre of your pupils. An accurate PD provides us with that detailed information.
A PD is not required for Fashion lenses (Clear) or for Readers (OTC) lenses – over the counter glasses for magnification purposes only.
Can I measure my PD myself?
Yes you can, although we recommend you have it measured professionally we have provided a guide. See Measuring your PD in the Prescription Questions section of the FAQ.
Measuring your PD
We strongly recommend having an optician measure your PD professionally, particularly for a stronger prescription. If you would rather do it yourself, it takes about two minutes with a mirror and a millimetre ruler.
Our measuring your PD guide walks through it step by step, with a diagram.
Frames and Lenses
Can I buy non-prescription Reading glasses?
Yes you can, just select Readers (OTC) in the ADD LENSES part of the process and all you need to provide is the necessary magnification (e.g. +1.00). You can also choose thinner lenses and add a tint if you would like to read in the sun!
Do you sell titanium frames?
Yes we do. Presently we offer titanium frames by Battatura, and Jack & Francis, with more being added all the time.

This means that there is no opportunity for your bank to charge you a foreign currency transaction fee or not give you a good exchange rate. By billing in this way, we ensure that you do not pay extra costs.
The billing currency is shown in the lower-left-hand corner of every page next to the country flag.
Are your payments page secure?
Yes. We use the highest level encryption payment process to ensure the safety of all your transactions.

Send us your prescription
Upload an image directly from your computer, or photograph your prescription with your phone and email it to [email protected]. If anything is unclear, call, email or chat with us and we will take care of the details.
Choose your lenses
All our eyeglasses come with high quality thin and light 1.56 index lenses, with scratch-resistant, anti-glare and ultraviolet protection included. You can choose thinner and lighter lenses, or add more coatings, when you select order with lenses on the product page.
